As the front - line ambassadors of the company, Janalakshmi's committed team of field officers facilitates the customer experience. Branch Head, Vital Yesudas, works to motivate, guide and lead his team of field officers and also oversees the overall financial and operational performance of the branch.

When asked about why he chooses to work at Janalakshmi, Vital quickly replies "vision, mission, and leadership." Vital's passion for his work is inspiring and has led his team to set the benchmark for branch performance.

Commitment to customer satisfaction

Vital Yesudas describes his work as an effort to build a better society and a better organization. He believes Janalakshmi's focus on customer relationships and the ability of its field officers to connect with customers is a key advantage of the company.

"Our company is like a train rolling on a track. In order for the train to get to where it's going, it must have a quality engine, a good conductor, and enough diesel. All of these must be strong for the train to work effectively. Not only that, but the track that the train runs on must be well maintained, and that's how I see the job of our field officers. We're responsible for the maintenance of the track, we have to ensure that the track is made of quality material, and we have to do frequent checks and make repairs. As field officers it's our responsibility to make sure our customers are well taken care of, because this lays the foundation for the company."

How we make a difference

"One of the customers I always remember is a woman who had taken a 5,000 rupee loan from a local moneylender before she got married. I had met her after the birth of her first child, and she was still repaying the interest on that loan. Because she was not able to pay the principle in full, the moneylender was able to charge her an exorbitant amount of interest and keep her in a debt trap. Fortunately, she learned about Janalakshmi, and after a loan from our company she was able to free herself. This is one of hundreds of stories, which inspire me everyday."
